Foundations–Mindfulness and Mindfulness of Breathing

The Washington D.C. Buddhist Studies Group will hold its bi-weekly meeting  Saturday, October 27th from 4:00 pm – 5:40 PM at the Washington Buddhist Vihara, 5017 16th St., Washington D.C.   This discussion will be led by Jim who will conclude our work on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.

The following will be shared — recent scholarship on what is thought to be the original discourse of the Buddha, a video by Ajahn Brahmali and discussion of the invaluable practice of mindfulness of breathing.

Jim’s goal is to, by the end of the discussion, help you: – Name the Four Foundations.

– Decide which one or ones you want to emphasize in your current practice.

– Experience the support these give to your mindfulness, both in meditation and everyday life
